Vietnam Veterans of America
Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America is the only national Vietnam Veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. VVA is organized as a not-for-profit corporation and is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
VVA’s Founding Principle
“Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another.” New Beginnings: DV Options is a place where people can acquire new tools to improve their family relationships. Old habits will be examined and new skills will be developed. This is an opportunity for personal growth and discovery.
Aggressively advocate on issues important to veterans
Seek full access to quality health care for veterans
Recognizing that there were many veterans of the Vietnam Era in Duval County and the surrounding communities, a group of committed individuals applied for and were approved in October 2010 for a Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America.
VVA Chapter 1046 was awarded the “Best VVA Website in Florida in 2012 and 2013” by the VVA Florida State Council.
